Consider This
There are a couple of things that the Lord has set down in His Word that so many don't acknowledge. First: Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber" (John 10:1). And, second, we're told, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9). Though there are many more, still, the concept is consistent. God has certain requirements by which we can come to Him, and by which we can become a member of His body; and to attempt it in any other manner guarantees our failure.
