What would be your response if you saw somebody shaving their head and beard and then taking some of the hair and burning it, as well as chopping around some, and then tossing some into the air? I tend to think that the first reaction would be to think of the person as a crackpot or perhaps someone who was either drunk or on drugs. However, this had more impact twenty-six hundred years ago than it would have today. But you need to realize that the message then will be the same message today; namely, there's coming a time of mourning and woe upon not only the unregenerate, but upon the church, as well. It therefore behooves us to consider our ways and to seek the Lord before that time. If we don't, we may eternally wish we had.
