Whenever we think of Jesus one of the first things that come to mind is perfection; and there’s absolutely no disputing that. Then again, when we think of ourselves, we’re most definitely imperfect. As a matter of fact, there’s a huge, seemingly unbridgeable gap between Him and us. Of course we know that accepting Him as our Savior has reunited us with the Father and has given us eternal life. But, can that unbridgeable gap to perfection be bridged? Well, if we look at it from our limited human viewpoint, the answer is definitely impossible; yet, from the Father’s viewpoint, that’s one of the reasons Jesus came. He lived in His humanity in complete obedience to the Father through the Holy Spirit. So, when we realize that the same thing is possible for us, then being like Jesus may not seem so far out of reach.
