Consider This
When we accepted the Lord Jesus as our Savior we agreed to allow His Spirit to change us from what we were to what He wants us to be; namely, to become like Him. So, just as He came to sacrifice His life for those who, in many cases, hated Him, we too have been commissioned to give our lives to Him for the sake of others. In essence, He expects us to allow His Spirit to manifest through us to others so that He can do what He desires to do in them.
