The word of the Lord about the impending judgment is going to be spoken to His church, and it will be the extending of the opportunity for them to turn back to Him. Because the shepherds and other leaders have been tasked with guiding the church into what the Lord wants them to be, but, in far too many instances, have failed, then the judgments will be directed to them first. However, He also has put requirements upon the people to walk circumspectly. The bottom line is: not one of us can claim ignorance in an attempt to be absolved of our responsibility under the covenant that we made with Him through salvation.
