Does God mourn? Before you automatically respond that He doesn’t, you need to consider something. You see, there are far too many believers who adhere far too much to the ways and teachings of the unregenerate world; and that stands in direct opposition to the ways and teachings of the Lord. Thus, because they’ve chosen to serve the enemy, when they first had claimed allegiance to God, then they’ve alienated themselves from Him. Consequently, they’ve positioned themselves to receive His judgments, despite His repeated attempts to warn them and to draw them back to Himself. For that reason, God mourns.
