I’m pretty sure that we all know at least one person who claims to be something they aren’t. They may be able to come across as one thing publicly, but it’s far from the truth of who they are in reality. However, because they’re trying to maintain a false persona on so many different fronts, then there will ultimately be areas where the truth comes through; and it’s at those times that their facade begins to fall apart. The response that most people would be tempted to present then would be “Who do you think YOU are?” But we have to remember that, if WE’RE who we claim to be in the Lord, then we’re being held to a higher standard, and we can’t respond according to their folly. That’s HIS place; and the only time we can do otherwise is if He instructs us.
